Physiotherapy

Pilates is a guided exercise session with a focus on postural control. This is a safe, and fun way to exercise with additional benefits for rehabilitation to full function. Pilates predominantly uses low-impact movements that are kind and supportive on the joints whilst providing a challenging workout to support and strengthen the whole body.

At Tracy Taylor Physiotherapy we offer three different types of Pilates equipment in our classes that function similar to the popular Reformer Pilates machine. All of which utilise a simple flat frame with a platform or carriage, that utilise both your body weight and a spring system that can provide different tension settings to continually challenge you, and gradually progress you to more advanced exercises.

Who is Pilates for?
Pilates based exercise can be beneficial for everyone. Due to the nature of Pilates based workouts, it is a movement system designed to predominantly focus on core strength and muscle engagement which has the potential to improve everyday function and well-being.

Our Pilates classes at Tracy Taylor Physiotherapy are done under the direction of our Physiotherapists. This allows for a safe experience for every member, where we can lead you through your injury rehabilitation or guide you towards achieving your goals of strength, conditioning and general well-being. We prioritise individualised care and instructions during all classes to properly adapt to each persons fitness levels, injuries or chronic illnesses as needed.
